Commercial Finance Group is the trading name of Atwal Holding's Limited (NZBN 9429051272760), a registered financial service provider (FSP1011141). This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share your personal information when you use this website, run the gear finance calculator, fill in one of our forms or talk to us.
We follow the Privacy Act 2020 and its information privacy principles.
What we collect
• Contact details: your name, mobile, email and business name.
• What you tell us about the gear you're buying: type, price, deposit or trade-in, term, balloon and when you're buying.
• Finance information, if you go ahead: details about your business, income, assets and liabilities, identity documents, and anything a lender asks for.
• Website and device information: pages viewed, the link or ad that brought you here, browser and device type, approximate location and IP address.
How we collect it
Mostly straight from you, through the calculator, our enquiry forms, phone calls, texts and emails. With your permission we may also get information from lenders, credit reporting agencies, your accountant or other people you authorise. Our website also collects some information automatically using cookies and similar tools (see Cookies, analytics and advertising).
Why we collect it
• To reply to your enquiry and work out a rough figure.
• To find the right lender and structure your finance.
• To send your application to lenders, once you tell us to go ahead.
• To meet our legal obligations, including anti-money laundering and financial services law.
• To run and improve our website, our service and our advertising.
We only use your information for these purposes, or for something directly related that you'd reasonably expect.
Credit checks
Running the calculator or sending an enquiry doesn't involve a credit check. Nothing goes near a lender or your credit file until you've seen your figure and told us to go ahead. If you do, a lender, or we with your written authority, may get your credit report from a credit reporting agency, as set out in the application you sign.
Who we share it with
• Lenders and finance providers you've authorised us to approach.
• Service providers who help us run the business, such as our customer database and phone system (GoHighLevel), form tools (Fillout), website hosting (Framer), video hosting (Gumlet) and advertising platforms (Meta).
• Professional advisers, such as our accountant, lawyers or auditors.
• Regulators, courts or other authorities when the law requires it.
We don't sell your personal information.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technology, including the Meta Pixel, to understand how people use the site and to measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram. This can include recording that you visited a page or sent an enquiry.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings. Blocking cookies may stop some parts of the site from working properly.
Storing your information overseas
Some of our service providers store information on cloud servers outside New Zealand, for example in Australia or the United States. When that happens we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected in a way that's comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including secure systems and limiting access to people who need it.
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, including record-keeping rules for financial service providers. After that we securely delete or destroy it.
Calls, texts and emails
When you send us an enquiry, you agree we can contact you about it by phone, text and email. If we ever send you marketing messages, every one will include an easy way to unsubscribe.
Seeing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email us and we'll respond within 20 working days. We may need to confirm who you are first.
Privacy complaints
If you're concerned about how we've handled your information, contact us first and we'll work with you to sort it out. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
